Our aim
Our target for this site is level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2 (WCAG 2.2). This statement describes what we have done, what we tested, and what we know still falls short.
What we built in
- Each page has a logical heading outline, labelled regions for its banner, menu, content and footer, and a skip link as the first focusable item.
- Text colours were checked against their backgrounds for contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 for normal text and buttons, and focus outlines and form borders for at least 3 to 1.
- Every interactive element can be reached and used with a keyboard, and the focus outline is visible on light and dark sections.
- Buttons, form controls and links in navigation, breadcrumbs and contents lists are at least 24 by 24 pixels.
- Form fields have visible labels, and error messages say which field needs attention.
- Tables have header cells, and on narrow screens they turn into labelled cards so no column is hidden.
- Pages reflow to a single column on small screens without sideways scrolling, and text can be enlarged in the browser.
- Decorative illustrations, such as the laptop screen on the home page, are hidden from screen readers. Informative labels next to them are real text.
- Animation is kept to a minimum and respects the reduced motion setting.
How it was tested
Before publication, pages were checked with automated tests for contrast, heading order, labels, link targets and page structure, then reviewed in a browser at desktop and phone widths, including a narrow 320 pixel width, using only the keyboard. Automated tests cannot catch everything, so we welcome reports from people using assistive technology every day.
Known limitations
- Some small text inside the decorative laptop and workflow illustrations is purely visual and hidden from screen readers. The same information is available in the page text.
- Links to external sources open the source's own pages, which we do not control and which may have their own accessibility issues.
- The contact form uses a short timing check to block automated spam. If you submit within a few seconds of the page loading, you will see a message asking you to try again, and your text is kept.
Reporting a problem
If something on this site is hard to use, email hello@wprestorix.online with the page address and a description of the problem. If you would like information from a page in a different format, ask and we will do our best to provide it. We aim to reply within two business days.
